This error indicates that that the record is locked by Timberline. A lock will be in place when the record you are attempting to update is in use by a Timberline application. Since Timberline places a lock on all related records, this error can also result if the "owner" of the record is in use by a Timberline application. For example, if you have a contract open in CN, you will not be able to update the related contract items.
