Message 60002 - Project [Number] does not have a cost period for the date [Date].

Background

In order for Integrator to create a General Invoice or Contract Invoice, the invoice must be assigned to a valid Cost Period that is setup in Prolog Manager.  Each project contains its own list of Cost Periods.  An individual Cost Period in the list is identified by a unique identifier and specifies a start and end date.  Integrator will compare the Invoice Date of the General Invoice or Contract Invoice to be created to the set of Cost Periods for the Project.  If no Cost Period is found with a range of dates that includes the Invoice Date, the invoice will not be created and the above message will be reported on the Determine Modifications recap report.

Resolution

There are two ways to resolve this issue.

Option 1

Allow Integrator to create new Cost Periods as needed.  This can be done by checking the Automatically create cost periods as needed box on the Cost Periods tab within the Cost Settings window.  When this option is selected, if Integrator does not find an existing Cost Period for the invoice, it will derive an ID for the new Cost Period based on the Invoice Date and the new Cost Period will be created at the time the Perform Modifications task is run for Costs.

Option 2

Manually add a Cost Period to the Project in Prolog Manager.  If Integrator is not automatically creating cost periods, then there is no pre-designated format for the Cost Period ID.  The start and end date for the Cost Period must include the invoice date of the invoice that was rejected.
Once one of the two resolutions has been undertaken, re-run the Determine Modifications task for Costs and confirm that the invoice is no longer being rejected.
Note - For more information about Cost Periods, their use, and setup, refer to the online help for Prolog Manager.
